Grasse · The Classic
Fragonard
Grasse · Est. 1926
Named after the 18th-century painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, who was born in Grasse and clearly had taste, this is one of the most visited perfumeries in France. The factory tour is free, genuinely fascinating, and ends — as all good things do — in a boutique. They also have a perfume museum on site. You will leave smelling wonderful and slightly lighter in the wallet.
🌸 Free guided tours daily. No booking required.

Grasse · Create Your Own
Galimard
Grasse · Est. 1747
The oldest perfume house in Grasse — founded in 1747, which means they were making scent before the French Revolution, and have survived everything since with apparent serenity. Their Studio des Fragrances workshop lets you compose your own personal perfume from scratch with a master perfumer. Two hours, 126 raw materials, and one bottle with your name on it. The most expensive souvenir you will ever love.
✏️ Workshops bookable online — highly recommended.

Grasse · Belle Époque
Molinard
Grasse · Est. 1849
Founded in 1849 and housed in a stunning Belle Époque villa, Molinard is as much an architectural experience as a perfumery. The building alone is worth the visit. They offer factory tours, a fragrance creation workshop, and a beautifully curated boutique. René Lalique designed some of their original bottles, which tells you everything you need to know about the level of seriousness involved.
🏛️ The villa is gorgeous — allow time to wander.

Grasse · For the Curious
Musée International de la Parfumerie
Grasse · Old Town
Four thousand years of perfume history across three floors of a beautifully restored 18th-century building in the heart of Grasse's old town. Marie-Antoinette's travel case is here. So is a greenhouse of aromatic plants, an extraordinary collection of vintage flacons, and enough context to make you feel genuinely knowledgeable at dinner. The best rainy day museum in the hinterland, no contest.
🏺 Includes the Bastide du Jas de Bouffan greenhouse garden.

Grasse · Field to Flacon
Domaine de Manon
Grasse · Plascassier
A working flower farm just outside Grasse that supplies jasmine and rose to Chanel — yes, that Chanel. During harvest season (May for rose, August for jasmine) you can visit the fields, meet the family who has been farming them for generations, and understand exactly why Grasse smells the way it does. Not a tourist attraction. An actual farm. Which makes it infinitely more interesting than an actual tourist attraction.
🌹 Seasonal visits — check availability before you go.

Parfumerie Oz
Grasse · Old Town
A smaller, more intimate perfume creation studio in the heart of Grasse's old town, run by an independent perfumer who takes the workshops seriously. No factory tour, no gift shop the size of an airport terminal — just you, a knowledgeable guide, and the raw materials of a proper fragrance. For those who want the creative experience without the crowds. Book ahead; groups are deliberately kept small.
👃 Small groups only — a more personal experience.
